London Fashion Weekend 2016

Well ladies, London Fashion Week has come and gone. This year I attended London Fashion Weekend. For those of you who aren't in the know and want to know the difference between LFW and LFW Weekend- Fashion Weekend is the event where the public can attend and purchase from major labels at a fraction of the cost! Held at the Saatchi Gallery, Sloane Square, this year, the event was packed full of fashion shows, and fashionistas ready to grab this season's pieces at a snippet! If you've missed it, don't be sad. Make a note for the next fashion week, and look out to purchase your tickets online from Bronze £20, Silver £40 and Gold £60.....

So come along now...here are the highlights!

I attended on the Thursday with my silver ticket. The silver ticket allows me admission + 1 glass of prosecco + limited edition tote bag full of goodies + 1 runway show.

The runway show I got to see was the SS'16 collection of Emilia Wickstead. Emilia Wickstead is a New Zealand born, British based designer trained at Central Saint Martins. She is well known as her career has kicked off with labels such as Georgia Armani, Proeznza Schouler, and even VOGUE in NYC & Milan. In 2008, her collections were so wanted, she opend her first store right here in London, Belgravia!

My favourite pieces in the collection were definitely those highlighted in crystal. The next time I am thinking of weddings or parties this summer I'll be remembering this collection by Emilia Wickstead.

If you've always wanted to find fur pieces from gilets, to wraps to accessories this is the place to shop for them. The venue was full of fur items for accessible prices. One that stood out though from the rest was Poppy London. They did the best selection at the best prices. From winter hats, to scarves, to gloves and keychains this one is to be watched! Prices started at just £20!

I made my purchase of these sports luxe trousers from House of Sunny. They're definitely a brand to watch as the quality is amazing, the prices are accessibly, and the style is avant garde. Best of all, not everyone is wearing it from the highstreet like COS pieces! To check out more about their pieces and see how to wear this trend of SPORTS LUXE check out the feature here

Love French Sole or always wanted to own a pair? Well, usually they're around £185 a pair, but at Fashion Weekend, all styles available were only £69 a pair! Yes, you heard me right....so make a note of this for the next time...twinkle toes.....

UKI Designedforhair.com The Fashion Accessory of The Season

The stakes are always high at London Fashion Week to, well, look good. Each and every season, you will see long queues of ladies dressed in fashion statements and trends- clearly to show that they are in the know when it comes to being ‘best dressed’. The key to completing any outfit of course is how accessories are used, but the worst and most disappointing to see sometimes at fashion week is complete creative outfits and accessories being worn with bad hair. To have bad hair in general is a no-no, but to have it during fashion week is a faux-pas! Thankfully, I met up with award-winning UK hair-dresser Maximilano Centini who is launching his first and own range of Italian designer hair products. Max has made believe in his hash tag which is #italiansdoitbetter. His range, called UKI, has been designed and engineered in Italy by the Maletti Group- a brand renowned in the hairdressing world for creative designs. The tools deliver unbeatable resistant long hold styles and have temperature controls so the hair and features argan oil or diamond dust that is infused in the ceramic surfaces so there is no damage!

During my session with Max I opted out for some soft waves and some volume. Max starts with some dry shampoo and uses the Hystrix multi-functional iron. (It can be a flat iron and it can be a curling brush iron. He transform my lank ponytail when I went in into this amazing full volume style! You can also visit Max at his salons in Fulham, SW6 Maximiliano Centini and his Blow Dry Bar too-Centini Blow Dry Bar and Centini Hair for you own uber hairstyle.

I’m also super excited to introduce to you Mr. Bubble a textured curls and waves wand that is asymmetrical. I should think these will create some fabulous bed head looks. The secret is to curl the hair and then pull the curl down a bit while it is still warm. This way you get that tousled look instead of the righter curl. Mr. Bubble also is now going to come in a small mini size called little bubble which will be the greatest travel accessory. So remember this season the ultimate fashion accessory is indeed in your hair. Get your UKI products range from £80-£160 at www.designedforhair.com
